Studio Escapes

Set up by the late producer and former-Jamiroquai keyboardist & songwriter Toby Smith, Angelic Studio was built to provide artists with a completely exclusive and idyllic setting to record in. Located in the stunning countryside North West of London, it offers the perfect getaway for industry heavyweights to escape and work on longer projects.

Located in Woodinville, North of Seattle, Bear Creek Studio is a turn of the century farm converted into a creative and state of the art facility. The highlight however has to be The Treehouse. Hidden just behind the main studio in a grove of Western Red Cedars, it's equipped with the same Pro Tools system as the main room, and is quite possibly our favourite writing, editing and overdub suite anywhere in the world.

Situated in the The Outer Hebrides, just off the North West coast of Scotland, Black Bay is a place like no other - the ultimate escape from the rest of the world. Between takes, clients can enjoy coastal walks, boat trips, surfing, fishing, wildlife (including whales and White Tailed Eagles), ancient standing stones, and in winter months Northern Lights and incredible star filled skies.

DAFT Studios offers one of Europe's largest and most impressive recording studio complexes hidden amongst the forests of the Belgian Ardennes. Step out from the doors of this studio titan and you'll find yourself amongst Belgium's largest nature reserve, offering ample opportunity for hiking, biking and skiing. The DAFT hotel offers a multitude of outdoor pursuits, a swimming pool, spa and even glamping should you want to feel particularly at one with nature!

Situated in picturesque Suffolk countryside, Decoy Studios combines high-end construction, beautifully light spaces and luxury on-site accommodation to provide a truly unique recording experience. Decoy is the creation of multi-award winning mix engineer Cenzo Townshend who has been mixing hit records for the last decade, and this incredible studio has all the facilities required to make yours the next. 

Costa Rica's destination studio, elstudio, sits not 800m from the Pacific Ocean in a studio oasis that offers a world class recording experience with both jungle and ocean views alongside a private swimming pool and spa. Between sessions you can drink a fresh fruit smoothie on the beach, read in a hammock, have surfing lessons or take a yoga class.

The Garage Studio is located in the famous Tuscan countryside between Siena and Florence. The 10-hectare Estate consists of two villas built in the late 1860s, surrounded by olive groves, gardens, a private wood, a pond and swimming pool. The atmosphere, the incredible landscape and the smell of the Tuscan air combined make The Garage Studio experience unique, creative and unforgettable.

Guilford Sound is an energy efficient residential recording facility located on over 300 acres of private woodlands, designed to be a haven for those looking to get away from it all and focus on creating music. The housing compound is just a quick walk through the woods from the studio, and is surrounded by miles of maintained trails that can be enjoyed year round.

Quite literally the 'creme de la creme' of recording studios, the 19th century mansion of La Fabrique is tucked away in the sumptuous Saint-Rémy de Provence region of Southern France. The stunning 14 bedroom manor house has its own swimming pool and park providing breathtaking views. Inside is one of the most impressive classical music record collections in the world with more than 200,000 vinyls alongside 30,000 films and thousands of books.

Located at the heart of the Landes forest and 10 minutes away from the beaches between Biarritz and Bordeaux in South West France, Le Manoir de Léon's 18th century manor house complete with open fire and 1.5 hectares of private park will take you right back to a simpler time. Until you step into the purpose built, Christian Malcurt treated, 150m square recording studio leviathan, that is.

As well as being state-of-the-art, Sonastério is itself, a work of art. Rooted in the mountains of Minas Gerais (one of the most beautiful landscapes of Brazil). Sonastério was designed as a collaboration between Joao Diniz Architecture and the world-renowned acoustic architecture design firm WSDG (Walters-Storky Design Group). With sweeping views that will take your breath away, the building was designed to be the most creative and inspiring setting for musicians to record. 

Golden rivers, flying condors, and pink sunsets make SONORAMICA an idyllic setting for creating and recording music. The studio is located on a 34 acre piece of land at the northern end of Traslasierra Valley in the center of Argentina, and was purpose built to maximize the recording experience, with panoramic views and virtually unrivalled sightlines between the different recording spaces. 

Space Mountain - AKA: Nirvana. With its stunning location, immersed in spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, this residential recording studio is something truly special. Set within 40 acres of ancient olive groves and surrounded by a vast National Park, Space Mountain is the ultimate 21st century creative retreat and the perfect place to inspire your music.
