Studio Le Roy is Amsterdam's premier multi-room recording and mixing facility, purpose-built for high-end stereo and immersive production, including Dolby Atmos. Located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. the studio was created by engineer Mikel Le Roy around his own engineering practice and is now an open haven for producers, writers, and artists seeking real space, real control, and calm, professional logistics.
The main tracking room spans 140 m² with an average ceiling height of 11 metres, featuring three iso booths, a Yamaha C7 grand piano, and an extensive collection of 150+ vintage and high-end microphones. Studio 1 pairs a 45 m² control room with a 56-channel SSL 4000 E/G console, premium external preamps, and high-end outboard, all monitored on a full ATC 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos system. Studio 2 features a 30 m² control room with a 56-channel Cadac J-Series console, ample outboard, and a 12 m² vocal booth, with access to the main tracking room when needed and the same ATC 7.2.4 Atmos monitoring. The facility includes a selection of instruments available for studio use, and both studios have their own lounges with fully equipped kitchens.
Studio Le Roy supports the full production chain: recording, editing, mixing, and mastering across stereo and immersive formats, including Dolby Atmos. The studio has a small core team. Mikel Le Roy built the studio around his engineering practice and continues to lead sessions and mixes. Ralph Verdult is a recording and mixing engineer who works here full time and is involved across projects. Depending on the session scale, assistants support with technical and practical tasks so the engineers can stay focused on the work.
