The Cold Stores: What to do

For a studio that nestled out 'in the sticks', there is a surprising amount of things to see and do nearby.  First of all, we are surrounded by beautiful countryside that you can endlessly explore.   Going beyond our own doorstep though, we are within 20 minutes of popular locations such as The Hop Farm, Bewl Water and the beautiful Royal Tunbridge Wells.  Between them, they offer a wide variety of things to do from Kayaking down the River Medway to watching the latest releases at the Drive-In Cinema.

The Hop Farm

The Hop Farm is Kent's iconic and historic landmark. Featuring the world's largest collection of Victorian oast houses, it was a major supplier of hops to London breweries in the 19th and 20th centuries.  Families across the South East and beyond used to spend the summer holidays working in the rolling countryside around the Hop Farm, harvesting hops and preparing them to be transported.  However, if conical roofs aren't quite your thing, why not go canoeing or watch a Birds of Prey show?  There is plenty to do at the Hop Farm and makes a great day out.
