During your stay, you can accompany you work with some activities, such as: a walk in our private wood, a bath in our swimming pool, a reading in the rooms while listening to vynils, playing "calico balilla" or Billiard, have a walk in the charming village of Civitella in Val Chiana, or have a session of yoga (only by request), an authentic meal with products from our vegetable gardens and our olive groves; you can also visit the three beautiful cities of Florence, Arezzo, Siena, reachable by car, or go for a bicycle tour in the chianti countryside or have wine tasting in the near wineyards. For those romantic night lovers, you will be delighted by a starry sky, which you would difficultly find elsewhere.
Even though it's not well known, Arezzo has an incredible historical heritage. Culturally dynamic, it allows you to have a fully sensorial experience from the beautiful historical buildings and the artistic works inside them (Piero della Francesca f.e.), to the superb restaurants and wine shops ("enoteca"), and the relaxing natural environment.
It is particularly interesting to visit in june and september, when the Saracino Joust takes place, a middle age joust which is important to the inhabitants.
Siena is one of the main cities in the area. Especially known for it's Palio, another middle age joust, which takes place in July/August.
It's worth visting its cathedral and famous main square, where you can sit and enjoy the view of the surrounding buildings.
It is 45 minutes far from The Garage Studio by car, but the trip is amazing, thanks to the beautiful chianti landscapes, known all around the world.
Civitella in Val di Chiana is a little citadel which you can admire from our swimming pool.
It is not so famous and this is one of the aspects that makes it so special. It's located up a hill about 30 minutes walk away. There's a ruin of a tower from which you can see amazing sunsets. The path towards it is a typical Loggia centre with a square and church. The important thing is that your visit finishes at Il Vicolo, a restaurant that specialises in wines, located in the main square, where there's an amazing panoramic view of the land around.
Romantic, and authentic, it's 10 minutes away from The Garage Studio by car. Unmissable.
If you loved the movie "Under the Tuscan sun", you will sure love this town, as this was the setting of the movie.
Cortona is a typical citadel located on a hill, from which there's always an amazing view of the entire area around it.
Especially famous for its wines, you will enjoy walking around this town and eating Tuscan food accompanied by Cortona's wines.
It's 40 minutes from The Garage Studio by car. Like the case of Siena, this 40 minutes passes quickly thanks to the amazing views on the chianti roads.
A cozy and elegant place to eat and drink in Arezzo. It organizes bicycle and vineyard tours in Tuscany.
