Angelic's appeal is of course its remote and beautiful countryside location, however although the studio and house are surrounded by acres upon acres of rural land, there is still plenty to do if you take some time out from the session. There's a bagful of countryside activities all nearby, such as Tank Driving and Golf, and the towns of Banbury, Oxford and Milton Keynes are all roughly half an hour's drive away.
Below is a selection of local pubs in the neighbouring villages to Angelic. There are of course plenty more bars and pubs to explore in Banbury, Milton Keynes and Oxford; the latter is also rich in historic University haunts. We've also listed some local activities to be enjoyed...
If you fancy a walk to the local pub (perhaps with torch!), the nearest is The Inn, located in the nearby village of Greatworth. This is a really traditional English country pub, with Real Ales and home-cooked food. There is a beautiful beer garden and a number of games: Darts, Skittles and Nintendo Wii amongst them. Sky Sports is screened.
10 minutes from the local town of Banbury is The Three Conies - a friendly village local with a great range of real ales and wines, and a fantastic menu made from fresh local produce. There is a huge beer garden which is perfect for the summer months...
The Star Inn is in Sulgrave, a village to the North of Angelic. It is another historic pub with a separate restaurant area and notoriously friendly staff.
If you fancy testing your driving skills behind the wheels of such vehicles as a Russian TS2 Gvozdika and Lance Missile Carrier, then you can head down to the Tank Driving site near Brackley. Other activities include an SAS Woodland Patrol and Clay Pigeon Shooting.
One of several local golf clubs, this 18-hole course offers keen club swingers the perfect getaway for a few hours. There are two bars, a restaurant, practice range, putting green and buggy hire.
Polish-up your top-spin and drop shots down at the Brackley Tennis Club - a short drive from Angelic. The club comprises floodlit, all-weather artificial grass courts.
This is the biggest Daytona Go-Karting circuit in the UK, and features three circuits of various lengths and difficulty. The circuits are floodlit, so can be used by day or night... on your marks...
The ultimate indoor activity centre is found in Milton Keynes, featuring all of the following: Skiing and snowboarding, indoor skydiving, bowling, rock climbing, cinema, health and fitness, shopping, drinking & dining.
Strap on your blades and show us your figure skating moves down at Milton Keynes' Planet Ice arena.
