Verdant Sound

Located above the control room, Live Room B is a fully treated secondary recording space built around its own stage.

Its controlled acoustic makes it particularly well suited to drums, amplified instruments, rehearsals and live performance, while blue velvet seating opposite the stage provides a comfortable setting for playback and listening.

The stage is centered around a Gretsch USA Custom four-piece drum kit, with a selection of Gretsch, Yamaha and Tama snares, DW 5000 hardware and Zildjian K cymbals. Drum capture is supported by a pair of AKG C414 XLII overheads, a Shure KSM137, three Sennheiser MD 421s and a Telefunken M82.

Also housed in the room are a Nord Stage 3 Compact, Gibson ES-335 and Fender American Professional II Jazz Bass, alongside Roland JC-120, Fender Deluxe Reverb and Ampeg Portaflex amplification. Additional recording options include an Electro-Voice RE20 and Shure SM57.

At the opposite end of the room is a full Pioneer DJ system comprising a DJM-A9 mixer and dual CDJ-3000 media players, paired with KEF LS50 monitors. Together, the stage, recording equipment and DJ setup allow Live Room B to move easily between tracking, rehearsal, playback
and DJ sessions.
