A recreation of the rare EMI TG12428 pre amp used in EMI/Abbey Road recording and mastering consoles used in the late 60's and early 70's. The sound was used on many famous recordings done at Abbey Road including The Beatles "Abbey Road" and Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon." The amplifiers were also used in many EMI circuits of the time. This version was remade from original design notes and circuit board drawings, provided by Abbey Road and EMI to ensure extreme authenticty!

The AT-101 is a faithful recreation of the original Fairchild 670 stereo limiter. The AT-101 is built using traditional point-to-point wiring methods and standard turret component mounts. The audio path and power supply are completely free from any printed circuit boards. The AT-101 like the original Fairchild 670 has been assembled completely by hand and uses high quality modern components. The tube complement is exactly the same using a new generation 6386 remote cut-off triode developed to replace the original 50 year old tube types many of which were used in the Fairchild 670.

The AT-1 is a mono limiter closely based on the classic Fairchild 660 using all the original parts specified in original models of the day. The circuits for these units are the same as the 660 models which include the use of the 6386 tubes . The Fairchild 660 is not one half of the stereo 670 version as it behaves slightly differently in operation to its stereo counter-part. These models have a different tube power supply and different tubes for the AC threshold as well as transformers. Standard additions to this limiter include Bypass External Key input and a 21 x 1/div stepped AC threshold as an option. Stereo linking is standard.
