Dean St's smallest room, Studio 5, is an intimate and welcoming space which excels on projects not requiring a separate booth or live area. The room, shared with several resident producers, is perhaps the most immediately idiosyncratic and creative space in the building – with a very distinct character from the remainder of the studio.
Filled with knick-knacks and memorabilia from years in the industry, working in 5 feels effortless and homely – complemented by an instantly accessible setup and exceptional gear. A wall of hardware synths and keys at the ready to be played, a vast array of software instruments, and access to Studio 1 backline, ensures 5 will be the perfect core for any production or writing session – with classic outboard preamps and compressors at hand for commercial and easy in-the-room vocal tracking.
Featuring PMC monitoring, industry-standard nearfield and amplification, as well as a collection of UAD processing, and the option of either Avid Carbon or Apogee conversion, Studio 5 is also a model mix suite, allowing the room to serve a purpose no matter where you are in the creative process.
