The Bullitts is the creative brainchild of producer Jeymes Samuel, and Miloco are thrilled to be part of this innovative and intruiging project. The Bullitts is far more than a collaboration-centred pop album. It incoroprates film and music into one highly entertaining, interactive narrative rooted by the story of a fictional character called Amelia Sparks, played by Lucy Liu. The story also features MC Jay Electronica. Here is an uncut clip of The Bullitts filmed in The Engine Room. Stand up and take notice….

This is the brilliant new single from Hollie Cook who gained recognition singing in the last line-up of The Slits, before turning to her solo career with the master of dub and pop recordings, producer Mike Pelanconi.
Mike produced and mixed ‘That Very Night’ in Miloco’s Brighton studio, The Ironworks.

Glasgow’s Glasvegas return with their sophomore album, the uniquely branded Euphoric ///Heartbreak \.
A smorgasboard of reverberating guitars, pounding drums and emotional choruses, backed up by singer James Allen’s powerful lyrics and even a couple of spoken word passages, one of which is performed by Allen’s dear old mum.
Glasvegas migrated south to London to meet the mighty Flood who produced Euphoric ///Heartbreak \ in Assault & Battery 2 in 2010. Rob Kirwan engineered the tracking sessions. Released 4th April 2011.

This April the sun is out, there’s a spring in our step and we’re feeling especially friendly. Therefore it makes perfect sense for us to re-introduce our website’s Friends of Miloco feature, where we shine a light on another business we associate ourselves with and who we believe who totally worthy of a Miloco-stamped shout out . This time we are giving our backing to a very new and very cool Bed and Breakfast in East London, Russell’s of Clapton, which has been setup by ex Music industry professional Annette Russell.
Russell’s is a modern update of the old-fashioned B&B. Each of the five unique bedrooms comes with luxury beds and linen, antique furniture, wooden floors and your own private bathroom or en suite. Each room is fitted out with a mixture of stylish design pieces from the last hundred years ranging from Victorian antiques and G-Plan sideboards to OMK chairs and modern art prints.
Due to its East London location, Russell’s is the perfect base for Miloco clients working at our nearby studios; The Garden in Shoreditch, The Square in Hoxton, The Yard in Highbury, even Battery in Willesden Green which is well-connected via the North London Overground rail lin
This is the first venture of its kind in East London and one of only a handful of modern bed and breakfasts in the whole city. The upmarket B&B has been a proven success in several other dynamic international cities, most notably Brooklyn in New York, Berlin and Barcelona. These establishments have proven perfect for open-minded travelers who want to meet like-minded people, without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

Pains of Being Pure at Heart turned to Flood (producer) and Alan Moulder (mixer) for their second album, Belong, perhaps to execute that ‘Pumpkins-esque sound which Flood and Alan can with masterful ease… Miloco engineer Darren Lawson gained a recording engineer credit on the album, which features the single ‘Heart in Your Heartbreak’.
Belong was tracked in Assault & Battery 2 and mixed in Assault & Battery 1. Released 28th March 2011.

Another example of the dark and anthemic mastery of White Lies. ‘Strangers’ is the new single from second album Ritual.
Ritual was co-produced by Alan Moulder and Max Dingel, engineered and programmed by Max and mixed by Alan. The album was tracked and mixed in Miloco’s Assault & Battery 2 and 1.
Grinderman – ‘Palaces of Montezuma’
We’re loving this tune as much as its Egyptian Pharoe caricature sleeve of Mr Cave himself!
‘Palaces of Montezuma’ is from the album Grinderman 2, produced by Nick Launay. Overdubs were done in The Engine Room.
‘The City’ is the first single from the forthcoming album by folk’s most radiant personality, Patrick Wolf. His new album, Lupercalia is set for release in Spring 2011. Interface’s Tom Fuller engineered and did additional production on ‘The City’. Miloco’s Bridge and The Pool were used during production.
