YouTube footballing star Spencer FC recorded a song at Livingston Studio 1 before his team played football at Wembley Stadium!
Spencer FC headed to the Wood Green, London studio with YouTubers Joe Weller, Poet and Vujanic to create a Spencer FC anthem that would lead them to victory!
‘The Wembley Cup’ is a series following Spencer FC’s journey to recruit an all star team of YouTubers to take on rival YouTuber MiniMinter and his Sidemen at Wembley.
Acoustic curtains have been fitted in the spacious drum room at Livingston Studio 1, a recording and mixing facility in Wood Green, London.
Open, half-closed or totally closed, the acoustic curtains vary the acoustics from really bright and reflective to a much drier sound.

Working alongside Abbey Road Studios, Miloco Builds were asked to provide UMG Vault, an archive facility consisting of five transfer suites and an oven room. The UMG Vault rooms needed to provide both good levels of isolation and internal acoustics but also needed to deliver an ultra-clean mains supply and low-noise components in the bespoke LED lighting system.

Miloco Gear were also on hand to help procure additional tape machines as the facility is able to digitise a wide range of analogue media.
“It was no mean feat for Pete and his team to run a building site within a building site,” says Simon Campbell, technical manager, Abbey Road Studios. “They did a marvellous job with excellent results.”
Studios 301 Sydney has offered free recording time to seven aspiring artists chosen for the new Converse Rubber Tracks program.

For Foals’ fourth album, titled ‘What Went Down’, the Oxfordshire five-piece teamed up with producer James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Florence + The Machine, Jessie Ware, Mumford & Sons) and retreated to the south of France to record in La Fabrique.
The result is a primal, intense, sometimes harrowing album of extremes – the record touches upon the depths of madness whilst also exhibiting some of the most beautiful pop songs the band have ever written.
Lyrically, vocalist Yannis Philippakis deals with themes around cultural identity, generational anxiety, cynicism, pessimism and heartbreak; “I wanted to tap into my inner madman and feel like I was channeling some sort of fevered creature.”

Oxford-based outfit Foals are giving fans free cassettes of their new album ‘What Went Down’ (recorded at La Fabrique) in advance of its release tomorrow.
The band have hidden cassette copies of the album in Madrid, Paris, Oslo, Amsterdam, Berlin and Hamburg; and shared the coordinates via social media.

Reading and Leeds festivals take place simultaneously this weekend and will see Miloco clients on nearly every stage.
Sundara Karma, Saint Raymond, Lucy Rose and Sunset Sons take to the Festival Republic Stage this year; with Everything Everything, Don Broco, Wolf Alice, Circa Waves, Lonely the Brave, Glass Animals, Kwabs and Shura appearing on the NME / BBC Radio 1 Stage.

The lineup of The Pit includes Black Foxxes. And last but by no means least Royal Blood, Bastille and Bring Me the Horizon will take slots on the Main Stage.
Also, festival organiser Melvin Benn appeared to suggest to NME that Foals would be the officially-unannounced band to perform, saying, “Wild horses wouldn’t let me be able to tell you who the secret guests are. You can take from that whatever you want.”
As a result of their success on Tradiio (where music fans ‘invest’ in up-and-coming artists using virtual coins), band Some Velvet Morning were rewarded with some time in The Engine Room through our partnership with Tradiio.
“The studio was excellent and we achieved very pleasing results during our time there,” say the band, who reached #1 on the global and rock Tradiio charts with ‘How To Start A Revolution’. They also reached #3 in the global charts and #1 in the rock charts with ‘Allies’ after receiving a total amount of 5,880,100 coins collectively.
When asked whether the guys would recommend Tradiio to other artists they couldn’t speak more highly of it: “It seems a very clever way to expand your fan base and the practical benefits such as free studio time really benefit independent acts”.

Recording, writing and mixing facility Greystoke Studio has recently been added to the Miloco site.
Based in west London’s Hangar Lane, Greystoke has a huge range of instruments including a synth collection containing models from Roland, KORG, Oberheim and Sequential Circuits; a Steinway ‘Baby’ grand piano; a full drumkit; guitars; keyboards and organs – it’s even got a lap steel! Building its incredible gear list (including some beautiful microphones and the latest preamps) has been a labour of love.
The studio has been acoustically designed to capture the best sound in the booth, live room and mixing room, and is the perfect space for writing and recording, for bands and solo artists.
The Miloco Builds team completed the extensive acoustic fit out following the studio’s recent rebuild, with Nick Whitaker overseeing the acoustic design.
