Estudio Del Sur is the first Chile facility and the very first South America recording studio to join Miloco’s studio directory, and what a great studio it is.
The residential studio is located in the heart of the country’s Central Valley, just an hour away from downtown Santiago and 40 minutes from Santiago’s international airport.
The stunning control room is centred around a 56-channel SSL XL 9000 K console along with a Pro Tools HDX rig running Apogee Symphony convertors (56 inputs/56 outputs).
The equally impressive recording rooms feature a Steinway Model B piano, a Hammond and Leslie and lots of other instruments.
Two beautiful AEA R84 ribbon microphones are the newest additions at Livingston Studio 1, a north London recording studio. Come and check them out!
The R84 is a passive ribbon microphone that shares many of the unique sound characteristics with its historic predecessor, the R44. The R84 produces rich and full low-mids, a smooth top end, and has a well-behaved bidirectional pickup pattern. These aspects, combined with the reduced proximity effect, make the R84 incredibly well-suited for both close-up and ambient mic applications in medium sized rooms. It’s just as versatile as an R44, flattering voice, strings, brass and drums alike.

All collected money is going to Belgian organisation Shangrila Home, the orphanage of which was destroyed in the earthquake.
La Chapelle is partnering with Belgian radio station Studio Brussel, which will feature the highest bidder on air.
The auction, posted here, runs until Monday 18 May.

The first 15 customers will get the pack free, the next 50 customers will get the pack for £15.00, the next 50 customers will get the pack for £20.00 and the next 50 customers will get the pack for £30.00.

The album was initially recorded in a small studio in Hong Kong that the band used whilst on tour in 2013. Blur had a show date cancelled and five spare days in Hong Kong, so they decided to go into the studio and jam on some ideas.
Stephen (who is managed by Gotham Producers) worked on the material in his Miloco-managed studio The Bunker.
