The new record from The Horrors is exactly as it sounds; Luminous. It’s a melting pot of shoe-gaze, dreamy pop with powerful infusions of psychedelia and 7 minute-long tracks that send you swirling through ever-changing musical realms.
As the follow up to 2011’s album, skying, the three year wait has been highly anticipated and the record was hotly tipped for success. Luminous was Mixed at Miloco’s Toast Studios by Craig Silvey who also co-produced the record.

Sleeper Sounds is located off Ladbroke Grove in west London, and was created to serve as a bespoke personal studio for leading UK Producer and Songwriter, Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams, Kylie, James Blunt, Rufus Wainwright). Now, this massively inspiring space is open haven for all Producers, Writers and Artists alike to enjoy, which is 100% guaranteed when you cast an eye over Guy’s amazing equipment spec.
At the heart of Sleeper Sounds studio is a rare (ex Abbey Road) vintage EMI TG console with 24 Mic/Line inputsfully integrated with Pro Tools HDX. It is surrounded by a vast arsenal of outboard and backline gear, such as a pair of vintage Fairchild 660’s, a host of rare vintage outboard processors, a huge collection of mics, a Steinway grand piano dating from the 1920s, and a bottomless pit of great instruments and noise-making devices – guitars, amps, pedals, drum kits, vintage keyboards and more. This is a writing studio fit for a king.
The space is ergonomically designed for ease of recording, with 64 live inputs. It boasts a classy “loft apartment vibe” with club chairs and sofa, 360 degrees natural light with one wall entirely dedicated to floor-to-ceiling windows, and a kitchenette.

The track (and album) was recorded by Miloco engineer Joseph Rodgers and part recorded at Miloco’s The Pool, The Bridge and Sofa Sound. The band also spent a lot of time working in the SSL mix room, The Engine Room.

The track, Down, sees a new direction for the band taking on a more funky/dance sound thanks to the help of producer Inflo.

The Mapex Heavy Rock Kit is a brilliant sounding rock kit. It is based on the Mapex Saturn Kit and is available to buy as five different packs.
What makes the Mapex Heavy Rock Kit special is that it comes with three different Mapex snares and four different crash cymbals all carefully sampled in a bright sounding live room. It was recorded and mixed by UK producer, musician and engineer Martyn ‘Ginge’ Ford (Bullet For My Valentine), and played by Jason Bowld (BFMV, Axewound, Pop Will Eat Itself). It was recorded in the now closed Garden Studios and mixed in The Engine Room.

Featuring tracks brimming with Nutini’s distinctive vocals and big band sounds, this album mixes things up a little, taking a new, refined direction. But don’t worry, the Paolo sound we all know and love is still alive and kicking.
Written by Paolo himself, Caustic Love was largely produced by Dani Castelar, recorded at Miloco’s The Square Studio in London and Toy Rooms in Brighton. The album was mixed by Craig Silvey at Toast Studios and is released today through Warner Music UK.

With the track recently featured as BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record Of The Week, the band are gradually rising up the ranks to success.
Candyman is a torrent of rousing guitar riffs and that sludgy Grunge sound synonymous with the Seattle music scene of the Nineties.
Gotham Producers’ Mike Crossey mixed the single at Miloco’s Livingston 1 Studio and is released today.

Studios 1 and 2 at HOME have adjoining recording rooms with big glass windows to enhance visibility between all the different areas of the recording studio. Studio 1’s live room is big enough to cater for large recording setups with a 45m² Live Room and two booths measuring 13m² and 15m².
In addition to the HOME’s main recording studios, there are also two production suites, an relaxing lounge area and a studio reception.
