We have just installed Avid’s ground-breaking Pro Tools HDX in our fantastic programming/writing/mixing studio The Bridge, one of the very first studios to provide the system. The studio now has all the benefits of this powerful hardware system, now also running Pro Tools 10.

November 7 saw the release of the new Miloco-made album from The Sound of Arrows, Voyage, which was produced by Richard X and engineered by Pete Hofmann at Miloco Studios throughout 2011. Voyage is the Swedish duo’s debut outing, and one of the most eagerly awaited synth-pop records of 2011. An all-instrumental version of the record has also been released.

We have some news on an exciting new purchase. To help make our Musikbox studio the number one place to record vocals we have improved the microphone collection with the purchase of an immaculate vintage Neumann U67 Valve Microphone.
With this addition the studio is now perfect for doing top end vocals, overdubbing and writing, and with the Neve VR60 it is also a great place to mix. The daylit control room is joined by two recording booths and a cool, contemporary lounge. The studio benefits from being in a private location however is still very close to Kentish Town and Camden Town, and is only a short walk from Hampstead Heath. This is a secluded and creative studio however it has one of North London’s most vibrant areas on its doorstep.
Musikbox is already a very popular studio for many artists, producers and engineers. Recent clients include Jay Electronica, Matt Cardle, Willy Moon, Jeymes Samuel, Mike Crossey and Syience.

We are pleased to announce that three longterm-let rooms – in Willesden, Hornsey and Bermondsey – will become available over the next few months. Willesden Suite 1, available on December 6, is in the famous Battery building in NW10 and so is surrounded by other private rooms and two commercial studios. It is a good size room with internal acoustic treatment, natural light, air-conditioning, red care alarm, wireless broadband and 24hr access.
Hornsey Suite 3, also available on December 6, is part of a 6-room complex. It benefits from daylight, air-con, monitored alarm system and 24 hr access. The complex contains a shared kitchen and rec room.
Bermondsey Suite 1, available in February, is based in Miloco’s main premises in SE1. It measures 7m x 3.5m, is air conditioned, has wireless broadband, 24hr access and a red care alarm. The room has shared use of a kitchen and lounge, and also has its own lobby area.

Two years after their triumphant debut album broke out on an international level, Florence Welch and co. are back with their grandiose sophomore record, led on its way by single ‘What the Water Gave Me’. Not only did Florence and the Machine regroup once more with producer Paul Epworth for Ceremonials, they also returned to Miloco – having recorded 2009’s Lungs in The Pool, its follow-up was mixed by Craig Silvey in The Garden.
Released 31st October 2011 on Island Records.

The idea is simple. Send us the parts to your tracks via the web to be transformed into heavyweight dubs of the highest standard. Ben Howard’s originally crafted acoustic folk sets the scene for one of this year’s most exciting debut albums. A fantastic singer with unique guitar playing style, Ben looks set to be an instrumental artist in the ongoing development of modern folk music. Released on Island.
