Miloco Quiz – Wednesday May 13th

Posted on April 3, 2020 by Milo Miloco

For everyone languishing at home, we’ve put together the perfect Wednesday night’s entertainment! Hosted by Miloco’s Sam and Ella.

We’ve plundered our little black book and come up with a host of bonafide grade-A celebrities to ask some of the questions. All you have to do is follow our easy instructions. Rules are in place to help everyone, dissenters will be met with swift and decisive action.

Here’s how it works ……

The team leader should clearly write their answers on a white A4 sheet pf paper with a marker pen. At the end of each round the quiz master will hold up a unique item infront of the camera for 10 seconds . We will ask the team leader to photograph their answer sheet with the item being shown on the screen in shot and then email to quiz@miloco.co.uk .

This will enable us to keep score and check the winning teams answers. If the winning team has failed to provide answer sheets in this manner they may be disqualified (if anyone is bothered!) x

Winners will be announced on our Instagram channel. Any prizes will be sent out or awarded as and when safe to do so.

Team leaders should also mark their own answers and post their scores on the quiz whatapp group so we can get an idea of who is in the lead although the final picture round will be the decider and should be emailed at the end of the quiz or when completed.

In the event of a tie we may contact the team leaders and ask a bonus question – The first whatsapp answer received will be the winner!

For any “who am I” rounds we will ask teams to email the answer as soon as they know. 10 points given if correctly guessed on question 1, 9 points on question 2 etc etc. A wrong answer will mean 0 points.

Vintage Neve installed in The Pool

Posted on April 2, 2020 by Milo Miloco

Miloco’s Leroy Street studio, The Pool, was recently the beneficiary of a unique addition to its impressive array of equipment: the item in question — a 24-channel vintage Neve 5315. Miloco Builds engineer Finn Eiles carried out the installation in early March, 2020 with the help of renowned Neve expert, Blake Devitt.

Originally commissioned by Channel 4 in 1981 for broadcasting purposes, the discrete (i.e. without any integrated circuits), class A, 24 channel Neve 53 series console features 33115 mic pres/EQs, four groups, four auxiliary sends and global phantom. It is also fitted with two 33314 compressors and an Avid Artist Mix in order to provide physical faders for the monitoring of sessions with larger line ups.

Blake Devitt inspects a 33115 module

Simon Todkill, chief engineer at Miloco, called the investment in the Neve 5315 a “no brainer”:

“We like to keep things fresh in our studios and adapt to what our clients and engineers need, and this was a perfect opportunity. I think that clients who have been using the room for years will love the new set up, and we’re confident people who have yet to use the studio will LOVE the sound and feel of the space.”

When asked why a vintage Neve, Simon said: “For me it’s all about the sound! Nothing quite compares to the depth and richness of these older Neves: they have a character to them which I think helps tell a story sonically, and they’re just so simple to use! They’re like any great instrument in that once you get your hands on it, you’re almost guided somewhere new. I love the fact that the fader markings are reversed too. In its previous life as a broadcast console, pushing the fader up would decrease the volume! So those are now turned around.”

“It ’s also about having everything at my fingertips,” he adds. “Having the console as opposed to individual modules, I’m able to colour my preamps as I like and then have all control to balance my send to the multi-track, and record a pretty much finished-sounding balance from minute one.”

The fully serviced console constitutes the centrepiece of The Pool’s control room. However, here at Miloco we know that a recording studio is only as good as the sum of its parts; hence, the equally impressive line-up of the complete control room spec.

Recording is done to a Pro Tools HDX rig which comes with an abundance of plug-ins; it is, however, the outboard which makes all the difference. Alongside the 24 channels provided by the Neve console, there is a range of alternative preamps including the likes of API, Chandler, Lomo and GML. There are also over twenty compressors including Lisson Grove, Urei, Tube-Tech, EMI and ADL. Lastly, the monitoring is provided by Augspurger Treo 812 CFM close field monitors, Adam S3as and NS10s.

The Pool’s live room is perhaps the most inspiring feature of the studio. With nearly 2000 sq ft of creative space, plus towering ceilings, natural light, modern interior design and hue lighting it provides a uniquely inspiring tracking space for artists and producers alike. Here you can find items of the kit that producer Ben Hillier (Depeche Mode, The Maccabees, Nadine Shah) has amassed over the years, including a collection of vintage guitar amps, four drum kits and a range of percussion instruments, a selection of vintage synths, a Wurlitzer 200a, a Fender Rhodes and, not least, a Yamaha Baby Grand piano. Regarded as one of the most versatile live rooms in London, it is widely celebrated for the particular quality of its drum sound. Given what’s on offer, it is hardly surprising that The Pool is highly sought after by smaller string ensembles.

Todkill is proud that The Pool now caters for orchestral ensemble sessions:

“The Pool is a great space for a small ensemble to record; there’s space for around a 12-16 piece string section comfortably (for example) plus piano, and having the signal chain directly from the mic to the console’s class-A pre amps is one of the purest signal paths possible.”

“The new console has really opened up the studio’s flexibility whilst simplifying things immensely from a user’s perspective,” said Todkill. “But aside from that, the outboard rack now has some great new toys! Lisson Grove AR1, a classic Focusrite Red stereo compressor, a vintage Urei 1176 Rev H, a Manley EQP and a number of other things.”

The first to use The Pool’s Neve console was producer and engineer Matt Wiggins:

“The arrival of the vintage Neve to The Pool adds even more colour to the already very versatile selection of preamps and EQs,” he enthused. “Coupled with the rare onboard compressors, the desk has an incredibly punchy sound.”

Todkill embraces The Pool’s mixture of vintage and new technology:

“If you want a colour and a character to your sound, you need something that can give you that,” he says. “Digital recording is as clean as you get, so having a great selection of various vintage and colourful toys means your recordings aren’t lacking in ear candy. The Pool is a toyshop! Not to be confused with our other studio, The Toyshop,” he adds.

“There’s such a great collection of drums, synths, pedals and amps, not to mention the size of the space makes it a perfect studio for record production. You can pretty much do anything you want without compromise, which is why we often see artists and bands making EPs, albums and singles in there. That hasn’t changed at all with the new console – it has opened up the studio to clients who are looking for that Class-A British Neve sound!”

Todkill says all the feedback on the new console has all been overwhelmingly positive:

“It’s been AMAZING! People love it. And it even matches the colour of the walls!”

Miloco Statement on COVID-19

Posted on March 18, 2020 by Milo Miloco

26/05/2021

We continue to operate with the same policies in place according to government guidelines. Numbers of attendees on recording sessions are still limited based on the size of the room, and we ask that only essential personal attend each session. All visitors are still required to sign in either using the NHS app or the on-site sign-in sheets on arrival, and we continue to maintain strict cleaning routines and provide hand sanitiser and masks.

05/01/2021

Following the announcement of a national lockdown last night, we have had further confirmation from the DCMS and the MPG the recording studios can continue to operate for work that cannot be done from home. Our studios therefore remain open, with strict policies in place. Only personnel that are essential to the session may attend, and we continue to maintain rigorous cleaning routines and a policy of social distancing at all times to ensure a safe working environment for our staff and clients.

23/12/2020

After the announcement of Tier 4 restrictions we would like to assure our clients that we continue to remain open with Covid policies in place. The ability of recording studios to remain open has again been confirmed by the Music Producers Guild after consultation with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

03/11/2020

Following the announcement that England will enter a second lockdown from Thursday 5th November, we want to assure everyone that Miloco will remain open for recording sessions, with stringent Covid policies in place.

The Music Producers Guild has received confirmation from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport that recording studios are indeed able to remain open throughout the lockdown.

20/08/2020

Following the latest guidance from the government we have updated our policy as follows;

If any clients have visited a country that is not on the current UK Government Safe List within 14 days of their session, they should not attend.

Due to restrictions lifting we are now able to allow clients and staff to use public transport to travel to the studios. Clients will no longer be required to cover cab charges for engineers and assistants to travel to and from the studios, unless when a session finishes past 11pm as per our standard terms.

11/05/2020

Following the most recent government advice we have updated our policy as follows;

No public transport to be used to get to the studios, or home from the studio in the event that a session is more than one day in length. Clients to cover cab charges for engineers / assistants to and from the studio.

If clients are feeling unwell on the day of the session or are exhibiting any signs associated with Covid 19 they should not attend the session and contact bookings@miloco.co.uk immediately.

Reception and communal areas to be marked at 2m intervals to encourage social distancing. Corridors to be clearly marked to state that only one person should use them at a time.

Hand sanitising points will be set up in reception areas and in studio control rooms with clear signage encouraging their use upon entry and exit. Hand sanitiser and hand soap to be readily available at all times in bathrooms .

Kitchen facilities only to be used by Miloco staff (i.e. no food preparation to be done by clients, all refreshments e.g. tea/coffee to be be made by staff) and clearly marked as such. Clients to bring their own food and water where possible. Signage reminding staff to wipe down kitchen touch points (i.e. kettle handles/coffee machines) to be clearly displayed and antibacterial spray provided to do this.

Where there are multiple studios in one building, a separate toilet / bathroom to be allocated to each studio and clearly signposted.

Session start times to be staggered where possible and where there are multiple studios in the same building. Miloco reserve the right to install additional security on the main entrance and this will be billed back to the clients on a pro rata basis . This will help with managing kitchen and bathroom areas as well as corridors . In the event of clients not adhering to the guidelines the session will be stopped and they will be asked to leave the building . In this event the session costs will be non refundable .

Clients to limit the number of people attending sessions to the absolute minimum in order to streamline the number of people passing through the studios. All attendees names and contact details to be provided before the session . Only those on the booking form will be allowed access to the building .Non-essential parties to join via Skype/Zoom.

All staff will be briefed thoroughly on hygiene and cleanliness and the increased need to uphold this throughout the studios and in communal areas. Engineers and assistants to commit to washing their hands at regular intervals, particularly when entering, or re-entering buildings.

‘Deep clean’ intensive cleaning organised with cleaning partners with a focus on anti-bacterial coverage on all touchpoints.

Alcohol wipes to be available in communal areas and in studios for wiping down of touchpoints/door handles/light switches before use and at regular intervals. Clients encouraged to bring their own keyboard/mouse to use in the studio if preferred.

Assistants/engineers who are asked to do food runs by clients should not handle cash – payments should be made by card only.

All staff members to adhere to the government guidelines of isolating themselves for 7 days if they are experiencing a fever or cough, and to inform us immediately if this occurs. Any artist or client displaying symptoms to refrain from visiting the studio.

24/03/2020

At Miloco we are completely committed to the health and well-being of our staff, partners and clients. As an agency we have a duty of care to our clients, but also to our studio owners and freelance engineers and assistants, who are all facing difficult times ahead

As such, our office team have been working from home since last Wednesday and will continue to do so until restrictions are lifted. We will continue to operate recording sessions with stringent guidelines that reflect the latest announcement on the outbreak from the government. This includes limiting the number of people attending a session to two, including staff. Attendees must remain 2 meters apart in line with social distancing measures, and travel to the studio must not be by public transport. Strict cleaning must be carried out on surfaces and equipment, and any attendees must was their hands on arrival to the studio and regularly throughout the day. We also respect the decision of studios on our roster to either close or remain open during this period.

We would encourage clients and artists to work with us remotely and utilise our online mixing services over attended sessions if they can.

We are of course monitoring all the advice from the government very closely, including the guidelines to employers due to be announced today, and will make appropriate changes to our policy as and when the guidelines change, which will be updates on this page.

19/03/2020

Our studios all remain open, but we appreciate many artists and producers will prefer to work from home during this time. Our engineers are ready to help with any remote work that may be required. We also run an online mixing service which offers a sophisticated portal for uploading files and for mix comments/review, and allows you to speak directly to one of our talented team of engineers about your tracks. The engineers and studios are also available for any session prepping, editing or stemming, or for remote sessions via Skype. We will do our best to help in any way that we can, whatever your needs.

18/03/2020

We remain 100% open for business, however the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, clients and their families remains our number one priority. We are closely monitoring advice from the UK Government and Public Health England and as part of our ongoing responsibility to Miloco stakeholders, we have taken a number of additional measures to ensure everyone passing through the studios at this time is as safe as possible.

The current steps we are taking include;

– Briefing staff on hygiene and cleanliness and the increased need to uphold this throughout the studios and in communal areas, and asking engineers and assistants to commit to washing their hands at regular intervals, particularly when entering, or re-entering buildings

– Arranging ‘deep clean’ intensive cleaning with our cleaning partner with a focus on anti-bacterial coverage on all touchpoints.

– Asking clients to limit the number of people attending sessions to the absolute minimum in order to streamline the number of people passing through the studios, and encouraging all attendees to wash their hands-on arrival at the studios

– Purchasing extra supplies of alcohol wipes to be used to wipe down studio computers and the baskets of vocal mics before and after sessions, and between vocalists if more than one person is recording during a session.

– Purchasing of new pop shields for vocalists to use, which are to be kept in their packaging until needed. Where these are unavailable, we are encouraging artists to bring their own if this helps them to feel more comfortable in the studio

– We have asked all staff members to adhere to the government guidelines of isolating themselves for 14 days if they are experiencing a fever or cough, and to inform us immediately if this occurs.

– We’d also kindly ask that any artist or clients displaying these symptoms refrain from visiting the studio so we can do our part in preventing the virus from spreading.

– We have installed Air Steril purification stations at our HQ that eliminate bacteria in the air.

We are aware that the situation is changing by the hour, so as things develop we will post relevant updates here.

MPG Awards 2020 Roundup

Posted on February 28, 2020 by Milo Miloco

What a night! Team Miloco are currently pooling every resource they have to summon the strength and courage to order the ultimate morning-after-the-night-before make-or-break hangover-curing takeaway, while reflecting on what was an incredible night for us, and the community of partners, associates and friends that we’re so fortunate to work with, at the 2020 Music Producers’ Guild Awards.

The night kicked off with Miloco engineer and all-round great guy Dan Moyler picking up the award for Recording Engineer of the year, for his work with Frank Carter, Jack Savoretti and Shura.

Soon after came the awars for breakthrough engineer of the year, featuring another of our engineers, Billy Halliday, in the nominations. Billy was pipped by Caesar Edmunds, a fantastic young engineer who actually completed the Miloco work experience back in the day and now works closely with Alan Moulder at Battery Studios.

Next up we saw Miloco engineer Darren Jones take the award for Stormzy’s Vossi Bop winning the UK Song of The Year award, which Darren engineered at several Miloco Studios last year.

Then the big one – Recording Studio of The Year. The lights dimmed, the golden envelope was unsheathed, and the winner was announced: The Church Studios! Naturally the Miloco table jumped out of their seats and sploshed champagne all over their trousers, for the first time in living memory a Miloco partner studio had won the MPG for studio of the year! Paul Epworth and his team have done an incredible job putting together arguably the finest recording studio in the country over the last few years, and it was fantastic to see this recognised by a room full of our peers last night.

And finally, the special award for Outstanding Contribution to UK Music. We have had the absolute pleasure of working closely with Stephen over the years; he had a studio in our London HQ for years before moving over to The Bunker at 13, his studio that we manage on his behalf. It’s safe to say that there is no more deserving recipient of such an esteemed award than Stephen. Ever the gentleman, he even gave us a hugely kind shout-out in what was the most moving and eloquent speech of the night.

Congratulations to everyone who took home an award last night. We had an absolute blast, and can’t wait to see you all in the studios over the coming year!

Interview with producer duo The Alias

Posted on November 20, 2019 by Georgie Koch

With an array of studios from grand tracking rooms to cosy production suites, we get the luxury of working with some of best producers in the biz, and the last few months we’ve had the good fortune of hosting Julian Gingell & Barry Stone, aka Jewels & Stone, aka The Alias.

The production partners set up camp in one of our newer production suites, Elektrobank, to work on new material. So before they wrap up and Elektrobank becomes available for bookings once more, we grabbed a few minutes with the guys to chat about some of their biggest hits and what’s up next for the dynamic duo

How are you and what are you currently up to?

Barry: I’m wrecked thanks for asking, currently working on new music with Steps which we’ve been focused on for the past few months.

Much of your year has been taken up by Steps’ latest album. You both produced the whole album which is a rare thing these days. What qualities do you as individuals bring to making a record, which combined makes such a winning formula?

Barry: Yes I guess it is unusual these days for one team to produce a whole pop album – it’s been a huge undertaking for us. Apart from our mixer Pete Hofmann it’s just us two, so a hell of a lot of work. I guess we’re both quite fanatical about pop music so working with an artist like STEPS who are pure unadulterated pop with no other agenda is a very good fit for us.

Julian: There’s a lot of crossover, but at a push, I tend to focus in on the rhythmic elements and Barry has a better ear for vocals details. For the most part we have oddly similar musical tastes and reference points, so when we have a production or remix we’ll instinctively be on the same page about where to take it. If I have a clap sound from an obscure 80’s 12” remix in mind, he’ll actually know exactly which one I’m thinking of.

You both produced the last Steps album which made number 1, congratulations! Has the approach been different this time around?

B: did it make number one? It probably did somewhere but here in the UK I seem to remember Ed Sheeran keeping us from the top spot – damn him! The approach hasn’t been very different this time no…I think we were more prepared this time though.

Starting your careers with Stock, Aitken and Waterman, you’ve got a long history of working with pop artists. How do you think pop production has changed in the last 20 years ?

B: Obviously the technology has completely changed the game. In some ways for the better but in other ways not. The amount of choice it gives you I find completely frustrating as it’s so much harder to commit to something. I’m thinking particularly about vocals here. Especially working with a five member vocal band…we record take after take and know we have all this material banked to compile the ultimate performance after the artist has gone but then you end up spending the same amount of time again or more sifting through the takes. I think back to my time at PWL when the comping i.e. dropping in was done during your time with the artist and that was it / you accepted it for what it was.

You’re known for your Club remixes, will the record have a strong clubby feel or are you heading in a different direction?

J: Nothing too hardcore, we’ve always been happy to be at the pop end of the club scene.

Which do you prefer, full album production work or remixing?

J: There’s aspects of both, full production is more intense – you get to guide a song through beginning to end, and because of the vocal production, more so with a band such as Steps where the harmony stacks are so integral to the sound. I love me a good remix though, especially when it’s a track that feels like its own animal, rather than a side event to the radio mix.

How does it feel being back at Miloco, was the last project you came here for Dead or Alive?

B: The first time we worked here was with Dead or Alive yes…back in the nineties when we worked under the name Jewels & Stone. We were actually in the same room we’re in now (Elektrobank) although back then it was called Toyshop. We did 3 tracks with them (I’d already worked with them on their “Nukleapatra” album at PWL) – never a dull moment with Pete Burns around. It was amazing to work with him, seeing as it was his record “You Spin Me Round” that had inspired me to get into the music industry in the first place. We did covers of Prince, Madonna & U2 tracks with them. We returned again a year or so later to record what would become our first hit single….”I Breathe Again” for Adam Rickett whose vocals we recorded here.

This time you chose Miloco’s Electrobank for recording and mixing the album. How have you enjoyed working in the room that was formerly the Toyshop and how has it changed?

B: It’s been great. The room has been completely revamped and looks very different to how it did back then but still has the same great vibe. The team at Miloco are all lovely and I’m sure they’ve all loved hearing the new STEPS record blaring out through the walls.

What’s been your musical highlight of 2019, and which artists and producers making the biggest impression on you right now?

J: The last track I really loved was Jax Jones ‘Harder’, love the sounds on that.

B: I’m a big fan of Ina Wroldsen and anything she puts her name to. We’ve never worked with her but have produced a few of her tracks…she’s a fantastic modern song writer with an amazing voice.

Lastly what will 2020 hold for The Alias?

B: Season two of Handmaids Tale for me.

J: It’ll be Season 4 for me. I won’t spoiler it.

The Vault: Miloco’s new studio in our London HQ

Posted on November 2, 2019 by Georgie Koch

We may be biased, but our Miloco Studios London HQ, the Orinoco Complex, is home to some of the finest studios in the country. Alongside The Pool, The Red Room London and The Bridge, we are proud to present our brand new studio, The Vault.

The Vault began ten years ago as a production space custom built within the walls of the Orinoco Complex for producer Stephen Street, known as The Bunker.  Stephen has since relocated The Bunker to West London, which gave us a whole new space to make the most of.

In autumn of this year we specced out the room to be the perfect modern writing, vocal and production room. Monitoring comes from ATC SCM25As, with a state-of-the-art Pro Tools rig running on a top spec iMac Pro with a UAD Apollo X8 interface. There’s some choice outboard (Neve 1073s, 1176, Distressor), and some brand new mics from Neumann and Shure, along with an upright piano, acoustic guitar and other toys to make The Vault the ultimate affordable writing space.

Here at Miloco we’re fortunate to be able to observe the world of recording studios from every angle. Owning and representing some of the best and biggest studios around, we know how amazing a huge room and Neve or SSL consoles can be. But sometimes, all your need is a good rig, a mic in a booth, and a carefully curated selection of equipment right at their fingertips, ready to go. That’s where The Vault comes in.

Explore the full studio page, including gear list, floorplan and studio images and get in touch with our office team to enquire about rates and bookings.

Live recording of the Tape Notes podcast with Ibeyi & Richard Russell in The Pool

Posted on October 17, 2019 by Georgie Koch

It’s no secret that we’re a big fan of albums here at Miloco. Don’t get us wrong, we love a good banger of a single, but there’s nothing like sitting down with a full body of work from an artist and listening to it from start to finish.

So a day that celebrates the album format, National Album Day,  is one we get excited about. This year it was made even more special by an event we hosted in The Pool, which saw music-lovers’ podcast Tape Notes host a special live recording of an episode with Ibeyi and Richard Russell.

Presented with AIM (Association of Independent Music) and National Album Day, the event saw Tape Notes host John Kennedy delve into the creation of Ibeyi’s two albums, which were produced by XL Records’ Richard Russell.

Having signed to XL prior to the release of their debut self-titled album, the French-Cuban twins Naomi & Lisa-Kaindé have been working with Russell for the past five years, having him produce both Ibeyi (2015) and Ash (2017)

Speaking about how they work together in the studio, sometimes banging out two songs a day, the trio took a deep dive into the methods and techniques used in their recordings, including Russell’s particular penchant for broken glass samples.

Discussing in particular ‘Oya’ from Ibeyi, and ‘Transmission/Michaelion’  and ‘No Man is Big Enough for My Arms’ from Ash, the trio discussed the inspiration for the tracks and the vocal samples used, including a poem read by their mother and how they managed to clear a lengthy speech from Michelle Obama.

For over an hour a special invite-only audience of 30 watched on in The Pool, listening to the interview on individual headphones kindly loaned by Sennheiser.

Miloco projects nominated for 2019 Mercury Prize

Posted on July 31, 2019 by Georgie Koch

Last week the hotly anticipated nominations for the prestigious Hyundai Mercury Prize were announced. Celebrating the best British albums to have been released over the previous year, we are proud to have been a part of many previously nominated projects including Skepta’s 2016 Mercury Award-winning album Konnichiwa.

Of the 12 albums nominated, four are ones that our team have had the pleasure of working on in our studios. View the full list of nominations here and read below for more info on the ones we had a hand in.

Foals Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1

Part 1 of their two-part Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost album, Foals spent 2018 largely in session with Miloco’s Brett Shaw in his south-east London studio, 123 Studios, in March, and then from May to September with Brett recording and producing the albums, including the lead single ‘Exits‘.

NAO Saturn

Saturn is the follow up to Nao’s 2016 debut album, For All We Know, which earned her a BRIT nomination for Best British Female Solo Artist. Of the 13 track album, which was executive produced by Nao, we had a hand in two of the works on the album – ‘Gabriel’ and title track ‘Saturn’. The two tracks were part recorded in Livingston 2 early 2018 with Miloco’s Chief Engineer Simon Todkill and assisted by Marcus Locock, recording drums and percussion with producer Loxe and Nao herself.

slowthai Nothing Great About Britain

slowthai’s debut studio album Nothing Great About Britain has taken the world by storm and we’re pleased to have been able to have a small part in the album’s creation. One of the album’s tracks ‘Missing’, which was written by Slowthai and English punk rock duo Slaves, was recorded in Livingston 2 by Miloco engineer James Mellor and assisted by Claude Vause where they lay down the drums, guitars and vocals for the track last year.

The 1975 A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships

Long-time friends of Miloco The 1975 returned in 2018 with their third studio album, A Brief Enquiry Into Online Relationships. After recording previously at Livingston Studio 1 this time the band sought the green spaces and country air of Miloco partner and residential studio, Angelic Studios. The album was entirely written and produced by the band at Angelic, assisted by Luke Gibbs. The band went further afield to record in various London studios (including Abbey Road) and in US, before having it mastered at fellow Miloco partner studio 24-96 Mastering.

The 2019 Awards Show will take place on Thursday 19 September at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith.

The event will feature live performances from many of the shortlisted artists and the evening will culminate in the announcement of the overall winner of the 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize for ‘Album of the Year’. The winner is decided by the judging panel on the day of the Awards Show.
